The salsa choices were the best I've seen and tasted in THE WORLD. Free cheese dip! That's unheard of in...anywhere.
The service was fast and our waitress was SO sweet and helpful.
I had the shrimp tacos I've never had better! Seriously. And shrimp tacos are MY JAM.
My mother had the shredded chicken chimichanga and it was HUGE and I swear she proposed to it. (It didn't say "yes...":( )
My 3 year old had a beef quesadilla and rice and beans... he ate the quesadilla and I had his helping of rice and beans. YUMMMMMM!!
Go here. You'll want to move in. It's so worth it. 100% worth it. -

I came to Taqueria La Unica by total chance. Thank God it happened.
My friend and I had played Eagle Chase golf course nearby and were brainstorming what food to eat after. We went from burgers, to burritos, and eventually settled on general "Mexican." We saw there were a few different restaurants in the area but thought this place looked the best.
Spoiler alert - It is probably the best. I'm just going to go in list form of what was incredible about this restaurant.
-The Dr. Pepper was FRESH as hell. Plus they served it in a bucket like cup so there was a ton.
-Without even asking, they brought up a smorgasbord or salsas, pico de gallo, chips and queso, FO FREE. Not only was it mind-blowing that it was included in the meal, but it was mind-blowing how delicious everything was just related to the chips.
-I was going to go with something like a burrito, but on my way to wash up I passed a guy who got the mixtas fajitas. Then it was an easy decision. The chicken and beef were both delicous with a crunch but also still tender and delicious. The standout was the shrimp. Never have I had shrimp in fajitas like that. 10 out of 10.
My only gigantic issue with this mexican restaurant is that I live 45 minutes away from it. I will be back at some point and I cannot WAIT. -

Visiting family and my brother recommended this spot.
We pulled in and found quick parking, however there was a line out the door. Guess that's a good sign!
We opted NOT to choose any appetizers since little bro warned us that we would get a lot of food.
We were given fresh, warm tortillas chips and...how salsas?? Oh wow this was heaven. We tried all of them. Each delicious in their own right.
Sis had a delicious chicken quesadilla, the guac was devine.
Bro had the steak and shrimp skewers, wow. Charcoaled to perfection.
I ordered the enchiladas verdes. Way to much food, but I enjoyed every bit of my meal. The beans were perfect. The guac was seasoned well.
I can't wait to return when I visit again. -

Probably the very best Taqueria in Monroe! The food is outstanding and the service is exceptional! The quality and quantity of food is amazing and the prices are very reasonable! This place is awesome!

Terrible server. Huffed every time we asked about bringing something. Like silverware. Such an inconvenience for her. One of us loathed the meal, left it untouched save for a single bite (Spit out into napkin). I personally found the meal very disappointing. But worse than bad food is poor service. For the first time in my life I left less than 25%. I think I left $5 on a $94 tab. It was over-tipping. I will never return.
